Windows 8 dev tablets selling for thousands on eBay

Limited edition Windows 8 tablets are selling for several thousand dollars on eBay. The pre-release hardware was given to Microsoft Build attendees last week at the company’s annual conference in Anaheim, California.
Microsoft handed out the tablets to each of the 5,000 Build attendees and comes complete with a developer build of Windows 8 and one full year of AT&T 3G data service capped at 2GB per month.
The tablet was developed by Samsung and features a 1.6GHz Core i5-2467M dual-core processor, a 64GB solid state drive, 4GB of DDR3 RAM and a Samsung Super PLS 1366 x 768 display. The eBay auctions also list a touch pen, Bluetooth keyboard, carrying case and a dock supporting USB, HDMI and Ethernet interfaces as part of the bundle.
Microsoft bundled a bunch of apps with their test tablets for developers and press members to play with, including Internet Explorer 10, a basic RSS client, stocks, weather, social networking apps Tweet@rama and Socialite, among others.
The idea behind handing out the tablets was that developers could start working on creating apps for Windows 8 right now, but it seems that some conference-goers are looking to cash in on the rare hardware.
As of writing there are three Windows 8 Build tablets for sale on eBay. The newest listing is already bid up to $1,475 while another listing with three days left is at $2,103. The third auction ends in nine hours and has seven bids with the current high bid at $2,700.

The Zync Quad 8.0 has 8-inch HD capacitive multi-touch display screen with 1024 x 768 pixels resolution, weight 470 grams and 5400mAh lithium ion battery.

These Zync Quad Tablets have 1.5GHz quad core processor with Mali-400 graphics, 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage with microSD card slot for expanding storage, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, 5-mega pixels autofocus rear camera, 2-mega pixels front facing camera, Wi-Fi, HDMI port, microUSB port and 3.5mm audio jack.

Zync Quad 9.7 and 8.0 are available to buy in India at price of 13,990 and 12,990 respectively.

Lenovo IdeaTab A1000 A3000 and S6000 Multimedia Tablets

Lenovo has officially announced three ultra-portable multimedia tablets in their range IdeaTab A1000, IdeaTab A3000and IdeaTab S6000 comes with mid-level specification at affordable prices, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, 16GB built-in storage with microSD card slot for extra storage, front facing web camera for video conferencing, optional HSPA+ modem, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and microHDMI port to connect tablet with HDTV.

The Lenovo IdeaTab A1000 has front facing speakers with Dolby Digital Plus ideal delivers high quality sound for music lovers, 7-inch touch screen display, 1.2GHz dual core processor, Black and White color options.

The Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 has specially designed for gamers and fast web browsing, 7-inch IPS touch screen display with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution, 1.2GHz quad core processor, 11mm thickness and weight 340 grams.

The Lenovo IdeaTab S6000 has specifically designed for entertainment and social media, 10.1-inch IPS touch screen display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, 2 GB RAM, 1.2GHz quad core processor, rear camera, up to 8 hours of battery life, weight 560 grams and thickness 8.6 mm.

These tablets will be available from second quarter of 2013 but price not unveil yet.
